Welcome to Haven

You’re welcome here.

Haven Restorative Retreats is a space created for slowing down, reconnecting, and restoring a sense of safety within yourself. Each retreat is hosted and facilitated by a Registered Psychologist and grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based care. If you’ve arrived feeling tired, curious, uncertain, or simply in need of pause, there is nothing you need to prepare or fix before being here. You are invited to arrive exactly as you are.

Haven offers gentle, trauma-informed spaces for healing, reflection, and embodied reconnection — without pressure, performance, or expectation. Care, safety, and nervous system awareness are woven into every aspect of the retreat experience.

The group therapeutic portion of the retreat is eligible for benefit coverage, and receipts can be provided for insurance or extended health plans, where applicable.

What Haven Restorative Retreats Is

Haven Restorative Retreats offers in-person, multi-day retreats designed to support nervous system regulation, embodied awareness, and healing around stress, burnout, and lived experiences held in the body.

These retreats are intentionally paced and thoughtfully facilitated, integrating trauma-informed yoga, meditation, yoga nidra, somatic practices, and guided reflection. The focus is not on transformation through intensity, but on restoration through safety, choice, and presence.

Haven is different from many wellness retreats. There is no requirement to share personal stories, push past comfort, or engage in practices that don’t feel right for you. Participation is always invitational, and rest is honoured as a meaningful part of healing.

Who These Retreats Are For

Haven retreats may be a supportive fit for individuals who:

  • Are navigating stress or burnout

  • Are seeking a deeper sense of connection with their bodies

  • Are curious about embodied practices that support nervous system regulation

  • Carry ongoing responsibility for the wellbeing of others and are feeling the impact of sustained stress or burnout

  • Are navigating life transitions, compassion fatigue, or emotional exhaustion

  • Are seeking a deeper, safer connection with their bodies and nervous systems

  • Value a trauma-informed, choice-based approach to healing and restoration

  • Desire a quiet, respectful space for rest, reflection, and renewal — without pressure or expectation

Haven retreats may not be the right fit if you are looking for high-intensity programming, physically demanding yoga, or spaces that prioritize forced vulnerability or rapid change. This is a slower, more spacious offering — designed with care and intention.

Our Philosophy of Care

Haven Restorative Retreats is grounded in trauma-informed principles that prioritize safety, autonomy, consent, and pacing. Healing is understood as a non-linear process that unfolds differently for each person.

We believe that the body holds wisdom, and that reconnection happens most sustainably when individuals are supported to listen inwardly rather than push forward. Choice is central to every aspect of the retreat experience — from movement practices to rest, reflection, and participation.

At Haven, healing is not something to be achieved. It is something that is gently allowed.

What You Can Expect

Each Haven retreat offers a balanced rhythm of guided practices and spacious rest. Experiences may include:

  • Trauma-informed yoga and gentle movement

  • Yoga nidra and guided meditation

  • Somatic and mindfulness-based practices

  • Time for rest, quiet reflection, and integration

  • Supportive group environments that honour privacy and boundaries

There is no expectation to engage in everything. Listening to your own needs is encouraged and respected throughout the retreat.

An Invitation

Haven is a place of refuge — a space to soften, reconnect, and tend to yourself with care.

If this resonates, you’re invited to continue exploring the retreat offerings, philosophy, and approach. There is no urgency here — only an open invitation to move at your own pace.

You belong wherever you are on your path.
